Virgin Islands Car Rental Surcharge Increases

According to the Associated Press, the U.S. Virgin Islands’ car rental surcharge has raised from $2 per day to $3.75 per day. As well, the hotel room tax was increased two percentage points to 10%.

The article states that the change in taxes is to offset an estimated $90 million deficit.
