Hertz UAE Online Bookings Increased by 35% in 2011
Due to regional growth and increased brand awareness, Hertz UAE experienced a significant increase in online bookings for car rentals, according to the company.
Hertz UAE experienced a 35% increase in online bookings for daily and weekly car rentals in 2011 over 2010, according to a recent company press release.
The company sees this growth as a part of a regional boom in addition to increased brand awareness. Online shoppers in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), Saudi Arabia and Egypt spent a total of $1.01 billion on Internet retail sites last year, according to the press release.
“We ran various inbound and outbound campaigns on Hertz.ae and Hertz.com and used collateral, indoor and outdoor media, and direct marketing to promote both websites,” said Nigel Johnson, managing director of Hertz UAE.
In addition, Hertz UAE was recently awarded “Superbrands” status by Superbrands UAE for its achievement in branding. Superbrands UAE is an independent branding organization that analyzes the strength of brands through a panel of about 2,500 business leaders in the region. This is Hertz UAE’s third consecutive year winning the title.
