Hertz Opens 125 Local Editions Across U.S. in Q1
Hertz announced that it opened 125 Hertz Local Edition locations in 2012's first quarter.
The Hertz Corp. announced April 23 that it opened 125 Hertz Local Edition locations in 33 states (see below) as part of the company's plan to accelerate expansion in the off-airport, neighborhood rental car market. The new locations were opened in the first quarter of 2012.
Hub Local Edition locations are coordinated with body shops, hotels and repair facilities to serve the needs of local customers, according to Hertz.
Currently, the company reports that it has approximately 2,250 neighborhood locations nationwide.
According to Paula Rivera, Hertz spokesperson, the "hot" states of the 33 include Pennsylvania at 15 openings, Florida at nine openings and Virginia at seven new location openings. Following is the full list of the 33 states with new Local Edition locations:
