All car rental companies stationed at the Sea-Tac Airport in Seattle will move their operations — including customer service, rental vehicles and related actives — to a new consolidated car rental facility (conrac) starting May 17, according to the Port of Seattle website.
Designated shuttle buses will operate 24 hours a day to take passengers to the new facility (click here for additional photos). There will be two passenger pick-up areas located outside baggage claim at the north and south ends of the main terminal.
E-Z Rent A Car, Payless, Avis, Budget, Alamo, National, Enterprise, Dollar, Thrifty, Fox, Hertz and Advantage all have on-site counters and vehicles, according to Perry Cooper, airport media and public affairs manager. Rent A Wreck is off-site but has to go through the conrac, in which its customers then take a shuttle to the Rent A Wreck location.
Since Aug. 1, 2005 renters have paid fees for the new facility, which first went into planning 17 years ago.
This article was corrected May 17, as the car rental companies with on-site vehicles were improperly listed. We apologize for this error.
