Payless to Usher in 2004 With Special Rates

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-- Payless Rental System is offering compact cars for only $20.04 in 2004 at participating locations when the vehicle is booked online for travel between Jan. 1-31, 2004. Customers also have the option of renting a mid-size car for $30 a day anytime throughout the year. Reservations for these special rates can be made only at http://www.paylesscarrental.com.

"Our lowest rates can always be found on the Payless Website," said Michael Harley, president and chief operating officer of Payless Car Rental System Inc. "The $30 a day Internet special was such a success with our customers that we've extended the rate throughout 2004 to keep car rental an affordable and convenient way to travel."

Payless has seen Website reservations grow 53% year to date.

Payless is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avalon Global Group Inc., a privately held corporation headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla. with more than 1,400 locations servicing 60 countries.
