Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. announced Tuesday that its subsidiary, Dollar Rent A Car, signed a multi-year agreement with JetBlue Airways to provide rental cars as part of the JetBlue Getaways vacation packages.

Beginning in August, Dollar will be the exclusive car rental provider for JetBlue Getaways, which provides customer-defined vacation packages and deals that bundle JetBlue airfare, hotel and/or a rental car. These packages will now feature Dollar vehicles in all major leisure destinations that both companies service.

"We are thrilled to join forces with such a well-regarded airline and be a part of its successful vacation program," said Scott Thompson, president and CEO of Dollar Thrifty. "Both Dollar and JetBlue Getaways' products complement each other nicely and provide exceptional value to customers. We are looking forward to developing this relationship with JetBlue, and think this will be a real growth opportunity for Dollar over the next few years."

"JetBlue Getaways is pleased to announce this partnership as Dollar is a great fit to our brand," said Grant McCarthy, JetBlue's director of getaways and ancillary travel. "Our customers will find more and better deals as they plan their vacations and will find the same great service and value product they are already accustomed to on the ground."

Customers will be able to book JetBlue Getaways vacation packages, inclusive of car rentals from Dollar Rent A Car at www.jetblue.com/vacations.
