Enterprise CarShare will launch its services in San Francisco beginning Feb. 2. With more than 20 locations available throughout the Bay Area, Enterprise CarShare is partnering with General Motors to offer a fleet made up exclusively of Chevrolet vehicles during the first four months of service. These vehicles will include 2015 Sonic, Cruze, Malibu and Equinox.

Additionally, new members will also receive $10 in driving credits when they sign up for General Motors marketing emails.

“Our expansion in the Bay Area underscores our continued, fast-paced growth, and we look forward to helping local drivers move around town in a convenient and affordable way,” said Ryan Johnson, vice president overseeing Enterprise’s CarShare, Rideshare and Zimride operations. “Additionally, through our partnership with General Motors, local drivers will get to experience a variety of Chevrolet vehicles that can meet any of their transportation needs.”

The San Francisco program is the latest step in Enterprise CarShare’s expansion throughout North America. Currently, the service is available in more than 35 U.S. states, Canada and the U.K., as well as close to 100 university campuses and 40 dedicated government and business programs.

“Enterprise is a great partner and the CarShare program is an excellent opportunity to get more people behind the wheel of a Chevy,” said Dave Barthmuss, West Coast communications group manager for General Motors. “We have a vehicle for every person from every walk of life in our Chevy lineup, and we look forward to seeing how people take advantage of our cars in this unique program.”

If new members join Enterprise CarShare by April 30, there is an introductory offer available. Additionally, Enterprise CarShare is waiving the application fee and first-year membership fee, and new members will get $5 hourly rates on all economy and standard vehicles until May 31.
