Back on Aug. 21, Dollar Thrifty had asked for final bids from Hertz and Avis, which dropped out Sept. 6. Though Dollar Thrifty did not accept an earlier bid from Hertz, a Hertz spokesperson says ‘Hertz remains interested.’
