In 2012, Local Car and Van Rental (LCVR) acquired the master rights for Green Motion within the U.K. and Northern Ireland.

“This is another great milestone for the Green Motion brand,” said Richard Lowden, founder and chairman of Green Motion International. “I am absolutely delighted to be celebrating the first anniversary with John Ryan and his management team. Since John’s acquisition of Green Motion’s master U.K. franchise, we have seen continued strengthening of the U.K. franchisees and consistent improvements in their performances — the future of Green Motion in the U.K. is very bright.”

“We are proud to be a stakeholder in a brand that is gaining real traction both here and across the international rental market,” said John Ryan, chairman of Green Motion in the U.K. “We are looking forward to growing both the number and size of Green Motion locations in the U.K. over the coming years.”

Green Motion is continuing to expand its franchise network within the U.K. and Northern Ireland, says the company.
