Electric Vehicle Program Starts in Mumbai

As of Oct. 1, Mumbai citizens can now rent Mahindra e20 electric vehicles, according to a report by The Times of India. Car rental company Carzonrent is offering five electric vehicles and will expand based on demand.

“Though the self-drive market is small, the demand has been growing exponentially over the last couple of years with better roads, rising cost of employing chauffeurs and availability of navigation facility,” Carzonrent Managing Director Rajiv Vij told The Times of India. “We expect good response in Mumbai where fuel costs and car rents are very high.”

In addition, Carzonrent is planning to start the electric vehicle service in Delhi and Bengaluru.

"The tip up with Mahindra Reva also enhances the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India with over 100 recharge points at prime locations in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru,'' Vij told The Times of India.

Concept: A Revolutionary Unique Concept in Travelling
The CarSwappings service is born out of a simple but very unique and powerful idea:

Let’s allow you to Give & Take (Swap) your own Car, with the similar Car, owned by someone else, in another city where you wish to travel.
We understand that, when you travel to another city, you compromise on comfort, safety, style and luxury in many ways. Our service will enable you to get access to a car + driver, almost similar to yours when in a new city.
We connect you to the Host at your visiting destination who can conveniently offer you their car with driver to travel locally. You can also be a Host someday and offer your car + driver to the Guest travelling to your city.
For more details visit www.carswappings.com or call 029 1515 6000
