Alamo Rent A Car has launched an online community for families planning vacations. “The Value Project,” found under a new tab on Alamo’s Facebook page, offers families a forum for exchanging ideas and information including special deals, attractions and insider knowledge about U.S. vacation destinations and travel experiences.

The program was inspired by Alamo’s sponsorship of Frommers.com’s “100 Places to Take Your Kids.”

The Value Project community offers vacation suggestions from Frommer’s Travel and Alamo employees and customers. The program includes content from its 100 best family-friendly attractions in the U.S.

Throughout Alamo’s sponsorship of the Frommer’s 100 Places to Take Your Kids, which lasts through July 2012, the Frommer’s page will feature Alamo banner ads, design elements and an interactive game.
