Hertz Chief Financial Officer Elyse Douglas was nominated for CFO Magazine’s first annual Women in Finance awards and event.

The award was designed to honor 65 female CFOs of the Fortune 500 and the Global 500 for their achievements in reaching the CFO seat at the world's largest companies.

Since October 2007, Douglas has served as executive vice president and CFO — putting her in charge of all aspects of financial management encompassing treasury, tax, risk management, accounting, financial reporting, business planning, corporate development, and corporate policies and procedures.

Before joining the Hertz team, Douglas was senior vice president and treasurer of COTY Inc., a $4.5 billion cosmetics company. In addition, she has held senior treasury and finance positions at Nabisco Inc and JP Morgan after completing her bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University and earning an MBA in finance from New York University.

The awards will be presented on May 15 at the first annual CFO Women in Finance event held at Capitale in New York City.
