Hertz Named Official 'Battle On The Midway' Sponsor

The Hertz Corp. was named the Official Sponsor of the first Battle On The Midway basketball game aboard the USS Midway aircraft carrier featuring San Diego State University and Syracuse University.

Hertz's sponsorship of The Battle On The Midway is part of its Hertz for Heroes program, a project initiated last Veteran's Day by Hertz employees with military backgrounds.

The Battle On The Midway will kick off several events centered on the Midway and along the Embarcadero in downtown San Diego during Veteran’s Day weekend.

The game will take place on Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. It will be televised nationally by FOX Sports Net.
