“This partnership allows Europcar to offer its customers who long for the mobility of a bike while traveling, a high performance road bike through Livelo’s convenient concierge system,” said Santiago. “It complements our bike carrier fleet perfectly, which is expanding constantly to keep up with demand from cycling fans across Australia.”
Livelo’s Colnago road bikes will be available for rental in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane; they can be booked directly through Europcar, according to the company.
Livelo then delivers the bike to the customer’s hotel. The company offers rental of accessories, including helmets, bottles and a GPS device.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Europcar to extend the flexibility cycling offers to travelers, both corporate and leisure,” said Peter Barnes, Livelo’s founder and managing director. “This is a strong emerging market that is getting bigger every year.”
Responding to this cycle demand, Europcar recently added 40 Renault Koleos vehicles to its bike carrier fleet. These Renault vehicles are fitted with Thule ProRide bike carriers to secure carry two bikes, according to the company.
