United Rental Group celebrated its 25th anniversary in the U.K. The celebration included a gala dinner in London attended by over 700 licensees and suppliers.

United Rental Group Ltd operates a vehicle rental network in the U.K. made up entirely of independent vehicle operators. It started in the U.S. about 17 months ago in Florida and has recently expanded to California and Nevada.

“We started the U.S. business in Florida and have a good base of customers here,” said Andrew Wilson, director of United Rental System. “Eight months ago, we opened up in California and Nevada and have a growing customer base there. We are actively seeking more quality independent rental businesses to provide fleet to as well as other rental-related products and services."

In January, United Rental plans to target independent rental companies in an additional 13 U.S. states.
