EV Rentals, a car rental company that rents only electric vehicles, opened its first location in Richmond, British Columbia.

The location opened on April 22, which was Earth Day. EV Rentals is Western Canada’s first car rental location that exclusively uses electric vehicles.

“When I tell people about the launch of EV Rentals, many are surprise I’m the first EV-only car rental business in Western Canada,” said Jason Gagne, owner of EV Rentals. “Some of the larger companies include the odd EV in their fleet, but EV Rentals will be one of the first to only rent electric vehicles.”

Currently, EV Rentals has the Tesla Model S, Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid, and the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid available to rent.
