Sixt has extended its partnership with Lufthansa, a German-based airline. As part of this collaboration, Sixt will offer added value to flight passengers as the car rental partner to Lufthansa.
This means passengers will now be able to easily add a Sixt car rental when booking their flight online at lufthansa.com, according to Sixt. Passenger and flight data will be automatically carried over so passengers will not have to input all their data twice.
The offer comprises the whole Sixt rental car fleet — from premium vehicles for a business meeting to a van for the family holiday.
The partnership also offers another benefit for customers in terms of collecting miles: members of Miles&More, a frequent flyer and rewards program in Europe and a subsidiary of Lufthansa, will receive at least 500 premium miles with each Sixt booking.
“Sixt and Lufthansa are linked by their long-standing cooperation and also have lots of things in common,” said Konstantin Sixt, head of sales at Sixt SE. “Both companies are strong international brands, leading in their industries and bywords for quality and service. We therefore go extremely well together as partners. For this reason, we attach particular importance to this collaboration and are already looking forward to offering all Lufthansa passengers comprehensive premium services from Sixt.”
“We at Lufthansa aim to offer our customers the best travel experience on the market,” said Heike Birlenbach, senior vice president of sales at Lufthansa Hub Airlines. “With Sixt as our premium car rental partner, we can offer our customers a high-quality mobility product in the form of an excellent complementary service. To this end, we have placed our trust in Sixt as an internationally operating car rental provider and market leader in Germany.”
