Speed Auto Systems, a software platform, is now offering automatic passport and driver’s license reading as part of its car rental software system.

The automatic reading system can be accessed through scanners like 3M and Desko, says the company.

In addition to automatically reading passports and driver’s licenses, other elements of the system include driver’s license storage on the cloud or local server and passport image storage on cloud or local server.

“It can save time by avoiding manual entry of customer data,” according to Speed Auto Systems. “We strive to minimize customer wait time on rental counters to keep customer satisfaction high.”
