Thrifty Launches Revamped Web Site

Thrifty Car Rental this week launched an improved Web site that includes a time-saving booking process. Customers can now view rates for all available car types at once. Consumers can also calculate estimated total charges, including local taxes, surcharges and airport fees.

One-way rentals, where available, can be arranged as well. Moreover, the Web site gives consumers the ability to select optional equipment, such as ski racks, cell phones and child safety seats. Customers also have the option of viewing in English or French, and can request personalized service if they are a member of the Blue Chip Express Rental Program.

"As the technology surrounding the Internet continues to improve and people become more familiar with the technology, it's a prime opportunity for us to offer a streamlined and more powerful," said Brian Carpenter, vice president of sales, marketing and advertising for Thrifty Car Rental.
