U-Save Acquires Preferred Rent-A-Car

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- U-Save Auto Rental of America, based in Jackson, Miss., has acquired the 13-location Preferred Rent-A-Car chain in Florida.

The former Preferred Rent-A-Car branches and two car sales locations are now the first company-owned locations in the U-Save system. They will continue to be run by Michael and Maria Kastrenakes, who have operated the Preferred Rent-A-Car chain for the past 11 years. The business was launched by Michael Kastrenakes' father.
