Payless to Expand into Neighborhood Market

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Payless Car Rental System has launched a plan to add more than 40 franchise locations in the neighborhood market during the next 12 months. The company has hired Diversified Systems & Services, based in Tulsa, Okla., to help develop and promote the new neighborhood market program.

"Franchise sales have initially targeted new and used car dealerships to offer the convenience of car rental within the same facility," said Michael J. Harley, president and chief operating officer for Payless. "By expanding services to include car rental in community-based markets, we're better able to meet franchise needs."
