Dallas Cowboys Propose Stadium Tax

DALLAS -- Representatives from the Dallas Cowboys NFL team have proposed plans for a $500 million stadium funded in part by a new Dallas County car rental tax. The plan also calls for creation of a county sports authority, which would administer the tax.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram newspaper reported this week that Cowboys representatives have already met with Dallas County Judge Margaret Keliher to discuss the stadium proposal.
