Dollar Thrifty Group Promotes IT Executive

TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group announced that Larry Zucker, executive director for external/customer facing systems, has been promoted to staff vice president for application development.

Zucker will be responsible for the company's software development. He will also oversee the creation and support of reservation, point-of-sale, fleet tracking, finance, data warehouse, customer relationship and Web systems.

Zucker joined Dollar Rent A Car in 1995 as director of counter automation. He was later promoted to executive director of application development.

Prior to joining the company, Zucker was manager of hardware evaluation and acquisition for Avis Rent A Car in Garden City, N.Y. Zucker has more than 13 years of experience in information technology and the car rental industry.
