Payless to Usher in 2004 With Special Rates

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-- Payless Rental System is offering compact cars for only $20.04 in 2004 at participating locations when the vehicle is booked online for travel between Jan. 1-31, 2004. Customers also have the option of renting a mid-size car for $30 a day anytime throughout the year. Reservations for these special rates can be made only at

"Our lowest rates can always be found on the Payless Website," said Michael Harley, president and chief operating officer of Payless Car Rental System Inc. "The $30 a day Internet special was such a success with our customers that we've extended the rate throughout 2004 to keep car rental an affordable and convenient way to travel."

Payless has seen Website reservations grow 53% year to date.

Payless is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avalon Global Group Inc., a privately held corporation headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla. with more than 1,400 locations servicing 60 countries.
