Cendant, Hertz Executives Elected to OpenTravel Board

WASHINGTON D.C. -- John Turato, vice president of technology for Cendant Car Rental Group, and James White, director of global automation marketing for Hertz Corp., have been elected to the OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) board of directors.

Formed five years ago, the OTA is developing standards for electronic data exchange within the travel industry. Already, the group has helped drive travel technology through adoption of XML-based industry standards.
