Arlington Stadium Tax on Nov. 2 Ballot

ARLINGTON, Texas –- Arlington City Council members voted to place a 5% car rental tax and 2% hotel tax on the Nov. 2 ballot to help finance a new stadium for the Dallas Cowboys.

Plans call for a $650 million stadium with a retractable roof. Earlier this month, Kansas City voters approved a $4-per-day car rental tax and a $1.50-per-day hotel tax to help finance a new downtown sports arena. Kansas City voters approved the measure 57% to 43%.
