WSJ Reports Cendant Close to Buying Orbitz

The Wall Street Journal today reported that Cendant Corp., which owns Budget and Avis, is near closing a deal to purchase Orbitz.

According to the newspaper's Web site, sources say the purchase offer could be valued at more than $1 billion, and the per-share price could be valued at around $26 per share
