SideStep Partners With Knight Ridder's Online Division

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- SideStep Inc. has partnered with Knight Ridder to power travel-related searches on the newspaper chain's various Web sites.

Through this alliance, SideStep will provide the travel-search technology for Knight Ridder Digital's network of 31 newspaper Web sites.

SideStep's search technology queries online agencies, consolidators and the sites of car rental companies, airlines and hotels to locate travel bargains for its users. SideStep has also forged alliances with such companies as Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Orbitz, JetBlue Airways and Continental Airlines.
