CarRentals.com Launches Service for PDAs, Mobile Phones

NEW YORK --- CarRentals.com has launched a mobile Web site that lets users with cell phone, smartphone and PDA Internet browsers reserve vehicles from multiple car rental vendors. Travelers can compare prices and make reservations for rental cars quickly and effectively from anywhere around the world.

"The release of the mobile CarRentals.com site is another example of CarRentals.com's cutting-edge technology," said David Morton, chief technology officer of CarRentals.com.

To access the CarRentals.com mobile site, users can go to www.carrentals.com. The site detects the usage of a PDA or smartphone and redirects users to a page designed for the screen size.

CarRentals.com has also set up mobile.carrentals.com, allowing direct access to the mobile reservation Web site.
