RALEIGH, N.C. --- Raleigh, N.C.-based Triangle Rent A Car, the largest independently owned rental car company in the Southeast, recently acquired three Accent Rent A Car locations in Metro Atlanta. They began operating them under the Triangle name on May 1, 2006.

The new Triangle branches are located in Atlanta, Norcross and Snellville, Ga. Accent Rent A Car had served the Atlanta area for the past 15 years. “Operating these three locations under the Triangle name will offer us an important entrance into the growing Atlanta market,” says Frank Colonna, owner and president of Triangle Rent A Car. “It’s an exciting opportunity for us to improve on an already established business by taking over the locations.” The Atlanta locations are the first Triangle Rent A Car locations in Georgia. Triangle now has 30 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. “The response so far has been tremendous,” said Andrew Helin, regional manager for Triangle in Georgia. “The demand for vehicles has already exceeded our expectations; we expect a very positive summer rental season.” Triangle Rent A Car plans call for additional locations in Georgia in the near future.
