Driveitaway "Intelligent" Platform to Power Dollar Licensee Remarketing

Driveitaway Inc., provider of Web-based upstream remarketing programs for commercial and rental fleet vehicles, announced that American Loan Masters, a Dollar Rent A Car licensee since 2002, launched its upstream remarketing program with Driveitaway's online platform, which now uses market intelligence provided by J.D. Power and Associates' Power Information Network (PIN).

The program allows Dollar to sell end-of-term vehicles directly to the franchise dealers who want them, efficiently matching supply with demand, rather than relying on the "shotgun" approach of current conventional wholesale solutions. "We are very excited to begin using Driveitaway's new, 'intelligent' upstream program to remarket our off-rental vehicles," said Ayub Dhar, President of American Loan Masters/Dollar Rent A Car. "Now we can sell units directly from our location, to those dealers who have the most demand for our units, in a streamlined, time-saving manner." "We're always very interested in new and more efficient remarketing methods," said John Manchin, Remarketing Manager, Subaru Financial Group. "Because American Loan Masters/Dollar Rent A Car uses predominately Subaru vehicles, we're enthusiastic about their new online program." "Driveitaway's 'intelligence-guided' platform matches dealer inventory levels with demand, selling vehicles earlier in the sales cycle to dealers that have identified customer interest," said John Possumato, founder, vice-chairman and president of Driveitaway. "We're eager to put our platform to work for the American Loan Masters/Dollar Rent A Car team." Driveitaway's platform enables fleets to sell its cars online before the cars come out of service. Fleet managers typically save $800-$1,200 per vehicle for commercial fleets and $400-$1,000 for rental fleets, on vehicles that have a resale value ranging from $6,000 - $15,000.
