Thrifty Car Rental Offers Blue Chip "Double Credits"

Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc., announces that from Aug. 15 through Nov. 15, 2006, members of the Blue Chip Rewards program will receive "double credits" when they book their reservation on

Blue Chip Reward members earn free days on qualifying rentals and awarded one free day once they earn 16 credits. Ordinarily, members earn one credit for each rental day based on a 24-hour rental day starting at the time of rental. During the promotional period, they will earn two credits for each rental day.

Blue Chip Rewards is an enhancement to the company's Blue Chip Express Rental Program offering expedited service. Members choose whether they earn Blue Chip Rewards credits or frequent flyer miles/points when they rent, but not both.
