U-Save Auto Rental Names Robert M. Barton Chief Operating Officer

U-Save Auto Rental announced the promotion of Robert M. Barton to chief operating officer. The move is part of the continuing strategy to grow and expand the U-Save System. While Co-CEOs Tom McDonnell and Sandy Miller focus on development strategies and building partnerships for growth and expansion of the system, Mr. Barton will handle the day-to-day operations of the company.

Mr. Barton has served as executive vice president of U-Save since August 2005. In July of 2004, Mr. Barton joined U-Save Auto Rental of America Inc. as vice president, sales and marketing.

Previously, Mr. Barton was part owner and executive vice president of Van Rental Services LLC, a U-Save franchise, served as executive director of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, and vice president of Budget Group Inc., the holding company for Budget Rent A Car Corporation and related subsidiaries.
