Hertz Launches Hourly Rental Program

Hertz recently announced they are now offering hourly car rentals at their three Manhattan locations.

The hourly-basis program offers customers with no fuel charge, no application fees and no fees for cancelling or changing a reservation. Additionally, the program also includes unlimited mileage and 24-hour Emergency Roadside Assistance.

Rates for the Hertz Hourly Rental start at $12 per hour and include one-year membership in Hertz #1 Club Gold. Vehicles and models ranging from compact to midsize SUVs and sedans and Hertz's recently launched fuel-efficient Green Collection.

Rates will vary depending on vehicle and rental day of the week.

The new Hertz program appears to be the first of its kind by a major car rental company, excluding a pilot program that was started last year in Chicago by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
