Highway Toll Administration Achieves 30,000 E-Zpass Transponder Installations On Rental Cars

Highway Toll Administration, LLC (“HTA”), a pioneer and market leader in providing electronic toll payment services for the auto rental industry, is pleased to announce the achievement of installing over 30,000 transponders in rental car vehicles for use in the E-ZPASS toll community.

HTA anticipates continuing its aggressive transponder installations in rental car vehicles used in various toll operations throughout the U.S. throughout 2007 and 2008. HTA further provides video-based toll payment services for the rental car community where these systems are utilized, as well as full service toll violations processing and administration.

“We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past 4-1/2 years and are determined to provide the best possible service to both the rental car users and transportation agency community,” said David Centner, president of HTA. “We value our business relationship with several prominent rental car companies including the Avis and Budget rental car brands, as well as our focus on providing services that complement those provided by the toll agencies. We believe that by building applications that embrace the business requirements, operational needs, and customer service demands of both the rental car companies and toll agencies, HTA will further maintain its position as the largest and most successful provider of these services.”

HTA’s business model provides seamless implementation of rental car electronic toll payment services, including toll violations administration and processing. Customers are charged electronically for tolls incurred while driving a rented vehicle, plus a nominal daily fee for the service. HTA’s objective is to provide added value to the end user by enabling the electronic payment of rental car tolls without impacting rental car and toll agency operations.
