Amex Offers Car Rental E-Folio Data

American Express has introduced enhanced corporate card folio data for car rental transactions, which will provide clients in North America and Europe more comprehensive information and control over their expenditures, Business Travel News reports.

Amex now offers level-three line-item data–breaking down the total price into the base rental fee, charges for fuel, insurance, penalties, satellite navigation equipment, vehicle delivery and collection from the client's premises.

Non-financial folio data includes class of car and the number of rental days.

According to Business Traveler News, American Express European Vice President of marketing, Andrew Buckley says that car rental folio data would help clients improve the ability to check whether travelers have made unauthorized upgrades when collecting their vehicles and if they are amassing an unwarranted number of penalty charges.
