Venture Development Group recently announced the opening of the new consolidated rental car center at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is set for July 18.

Located on a 5-acre site immediately east of the airport, this environmentally-friendly rental car center will provide service for travelers to Anchorage. The facility connects to the airport by means of the airport’s existing tunnel which connects to the rental car facility’s tunnel and into the three-story lobby.

The facility features 12 car washes, 16 fuel hoses, and a vacuuming area. The car washes are stacked on three floors – the first stacked car washes built in an arctic or sub-arctic environment. Chemicals used in the car washes are environmentally friendly, and 94 percent of the water is recycled.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty will operate out of the facility. More than 200 employees will work in the rental car center.
