Thrifty Opens at Raleigh-Durham Airport

Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc., recently announced the opening of a new on-airport location at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, the company reports.

Nearly 5 million deplaning travelers are expected to pass through RDU this year, contributing about $12.6 billion to the region's economy.

Located near the airport terminal, the new Thrifty Car Rental facility will be open daily from 4:30 a.m. to midnight, catering to a mix of customers that is expected to be about 70 percent leisure and 30 percent corporate.

In the coming months, Thrifty Car Rental expects additional location openings in Apex (late-October), Cary and downtown Raleigh, N.C. (fourth quarter or early 2008).
