Avis Budget Group to Rent Portable DVD Player

Avis Budget Group recently announced that Avis Rent A Car and Budget Rent A Car will team up with Coby Electronics to begin offering portable DVD players for rent at locations throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The service, called Flicks-To-Go, features Coby Electronics' TF-DVD 7050 portable DVD player that can be easily attached to the back of a car's headrest.

The Coby DVD player features a 7-inch LCD screen and plays DVDs, MP3s, CDs and CD-RWs, with built-in anti-skip circuitry. The unit offers the choice of speakers for multiple viewers or two high-quality headphones for private listening; customers may keep the headphones at the end of their rental. Coby's TF-DVD 7050 also features a rechargeable battery and is fully portable, offering entertainment both in and out of the car.

Flicks-To-Go is available for $13.95 per day or $69.75 per week and can be requested at the counter or via the Avis reservation center at (800) 331-1212 (for reservations in the U.S.) and (800) 331-1084 (for reservations outside the U.S.) or the Budget reservation center at (800) 527-0700 (for reservations in the U.S.) and (800) 472-3325 (for reservations outside the U.S.).
