Fireworks Suspected in Car Rental Lot Blaze

As many as 45 rental cars were damaged or destroyed in a fire in a Hertz parking lot near the San Francisco Airport on Sunday afternoon, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. No injuries were reported.

A witness reported hearing fireworks go off shortly before the blaze started, which was fanned by persistent winds, according to investigators. However, firefighters did not find any fireworks that night, according to the report.
