FlightCar Launches at San Francisco International Airport
Vehicle owners can now list their vehicle for rent to incoming air travelers at San Francisco International Airport.
According to Betakit.com, peer-to-peer car sharing company FlightCar opened its second location at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on Feb. 7.
FlightCar allows vehicle owners to rent their vehicle to incoming air travelers at SFO. Vehicle owners post the dates they will be out of town and relevant car information.
FlightCar first launched in Cincinnati, Ohio in October 2012.
Vehicle owners who list their vehicle will receive free parking, a car wash on drop-off and pick-up, valet service and a $10 gas card if the car is rented.
Others flying into the same airport can see the listings and request to rent the car, at a rate set by FlightCar. FlightCar completes a background check on renters to check their driving history and confirm a valid license.
The company has plans to expand to Orlando, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Miami.
