AuthenticID Launches Technology to Help Detect ID Fraud
AuthenticID's pictureID can validate a person’s identity and help stop ID fraud for rental car companies.
AuthenticID, a company specializing in identity authentication solutions, today announced the launch of pictureID – a program that can validate a person’s identity in less than three seconds. AuthenticID provides this technology to U.S. and Canadian car rental companies for help with detecting and stopping ID fraud.
PictureID works by letting users scan a U.S. or Canadian ID (or inputting a driver’s license number and its state of issuance) into AuthenticID’s web portal. A photo of the true ID owner is then provided to the user in less than three seconds.
With access to anti-terrorism technology from the Department of Homeland Security, AuthenticID provides customers with the ability to document issuers in the U.S. and Canada.
“We’re excited to provide U.S. and Canadian car rental companies with pictureID …” said Blair Cohen, CEO of AuthenticID. “We’re aggressively accelerating the fight against ID fraud. ...”
