The CarSharing Association partnered with TechAssure Association to conduct its 2013 Annual Insurance and Risk Survey for its members. The survey questions centered on concerns, risks and opportunities in the car-sharing industry.

"Public awareness of the car-sharing system has increased dramatically as new forms of shared vehicle mobility (peer-to-peer, one-way, transportation network companies) have come to market," said Alan Woodland, executive director of the CarSharing Association. "The CSA has a mandate to advance consumer protection agenda, ensuring market participants have adequate levels of insurance and make proper disclosure of insurance coverages to the consumer."

The members of TechAssure Association help leaders in innovative industries better understand their organizational risks, creating specialty insurance products and turning risk into opportunity.

Founded in 2010, the CarSharing Association tries to maximize the environmental and social impact of the car-sharing industry. Members are located worldwide.
