Ryanair, a Europe-based airline, signed a new partnership agreement with Hertz, which will run until 2020.

This partnership has been extended to include Hertz’s brands Thrifty and Firefly to provide customers with more choices. Ryanair customers will have continued access to the best value Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly car rental rates via the Ryanair.com website, says the company.

The Ryanair-Hertz partnership has proven successful over the last 15 years, says Ryanair. In addition to access to Hertz’s range of vehicles at all Ryanair’s 185 airports, Ryanair customers can also choose add-ons such as NeverLost satellite navigation and child seats.

“We are pleased to extend our successful car hire partnership with Hertz,” said Michael Cawley, Ryanair’s deputy chief executive and chief operating officer. “Ryanair will carry over 81 million passengers this year at the lowest fares, connecting 185 airports through over 1,600 routes, and this partnership has allowed Ryanair passengers to access Hertz’s great value car hire. …”

“Hertz and Ryanair, as leading providers of car rental and air travel respectively, are jointly committed to providing customers with superior access, flexibility and value for a great travel experience,” said Michel Taride, group president, Hertz International. “The Hertz and Ryanair partnership — which now also incorporates the Thrifty and Firefly brands — continues to offer travelers convenience and choice at all of Ryanair’s 185 airport destinations across Europe.”
