National Ranks High For Customer Experience

National Car Rental scored the highest in the car rental industry in Forrester Research’s Customer Experience Index, 2014, with a score of 74, says Forrester. The other rental industries included Dollar Rental Car (71), Budget Rent A Car (71), Avis Rent A Car (71), Enterprise Rent-A-Car (71), Hertz (66) and Alamo Rent A Car (65), according to Forrester.

The survey benchmarks the quality of customer experience provided by 175 major U.S. brands across 14 industries, including retailers, hotels, airlines and investment firms.

Conducted in October 2013, Forrester Research’s Customer Experience Index is based on online responses from more than 7,500 U.S. consumers.

“At National, we work hard to make things easy, efficient and convenient for our customers and to provide them with an enjoyable rental experience,” said Rob Connors, National’s assistant vice president of brand marketing. “It’s gratifying to hear from our customers themselves that those efforts are paying off.”

National is known for its focus on business travelers and the convenience and choice offered by its Emerald Club loyalty program, says the company.
