CarTrawler Acquires Taxi Booking Company

CarTrawler, an online global car rental platform, has reached an agreement to acquire Cabforce, a Finnish-based provider of taxi booking solutions. CarTrawler is backed by funding from BC Partners and Insight Venture Partners.

“Everyone at CarTrawler is excited to welcome the Cabforce Team into our business,” said Mike McGearty, CarTrawler CEO. “CarTrawler already has the most comprehensive range of car rental available online. Now with the addition of Cabforce content and specialist expertise to our existing portfolio of ground transportation products, we will significantly enhance the level of service, product range and availability for customers.”

Founded in 2009 in Helsinki, Finland, Cabforce is available at over 200 locations in 54 different countries and on six continents.
