According to an article by Consumer Affairs, a RelayRides user’s car was impounded in Arizona while it was being rented, leaving the owner carless for more than a month.

The man originally agreed to rent his vehicle to a woman who needed his van to travel to a church convention, according to the article. However, the woman failed to return the vehicle, asked for an extended rental and eventually confessed that her son was driving the vehicle on a suspended license and that it had been impounded with a 30-day hold.

The man contacted RelayRides for assistance but has not yet been able to pick up his vehicle.
