The Fleet Jam Session returns to the 2015 Auto Rental Summit. The three-hour workshop, devoted specifically to fleet issues in car rental, will take place on Monday Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The workshop will kick off with a fleet planning seminar based on the changing used car market. The session will discuss target utilization rates, determine optimal fleet mix, analyze depreciation curves and use residual value guides to assist with fleet acquisition and disposal.
The second seminar delves into how to strengthen your relationship with your lender, considering today’s higher business expenses and lower used car values.
In an Auto Rental Summit first, Mike Roberts, a national educator for Cox Automotive and leader of Manheim’s customer-facing educational programs, will guide attendees on gaining maximum return on vehicles sent to auction.
Finally, representatives from Toyota will provide an insider’s look at how manufacturers’ repurchase programs function, help attendees understand if they qualify for a program and whether one program best suits their needs.
“The Fleet Jam Session was such a hit last year we decided to bring it back,” said Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “This year, we’ve upped our game. Our team of subject matter experts — our ‘fleet rock stars’ — are ready to provide insights into the most pertinent trends in fleet today.”
This year, the Fleet Jam Session is open to all; no RSVP is required. A box lunch is included.
Now in its fourth year, Auto Rental Summit (ARS) is designed to improve customer service and enhance revenue of car rental operations. ARS is a two-day conference featuring seminars, a vendor exhibit hall and networking opportunities.
Car rental managers, executives and employees from corporate, franchised and independent companies across the U.S. and overseas are invited to attend the 2015 Auto Rental Summit, to be held Nov. 9-10 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.
