Travel Weekly has announced the gold and silver winners of the 2019 Magellan Awards in ground transportation.
The Travvy Awards, billed “the Academy Awards of the travel industry,” recognized Enterprise Rent-A-Car with four golds and one silver, while Auto Europe took home one gold and three silver awards.
Previously, Auto Europe contributed funds to similar relief programs supporting agents impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in 2017, Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the deadly wildfires that charred Southern California in 2007.
Auto Europe's Hurricane Assistance Program now assists travel agent partners impacted by both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
Auto Europe received a Gold Magellan Award in the Ground Transportation – World Wide Coverage category and a Silver Magellan Award in the Ground Transportation – Luxury Car Collection category.
Auto Europe is pledging $5 per reservation booked by any travel agent nationwide for their client now through Sept 30, 2017. The pledge goes toward a relief fund to assist agents in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Auto Europe, a global car rental aggregator, has sponsored a French road trip sweepstakes where the winner receives a golf weekend in France complete with a round of golf, two nights of accommodations, and a luxury car rental.
During the month of March, Luxury Retreats guests will be provided a complimentary rental from Auto Europe when booking select villas.
