The Atlanta City Council has extended rental relief for car rental agencies at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The measure allows rental car companies to pay rent based off a portion of their revenue, rather than a flat rate.

John Selden, Atlanta airport general manager, told the newspaper that it could take two to five years to fully recover from the effects of COVID-19.

The extended suspension on minimum rental payments goes through the end of June.
